Crews will begin the Vicksburg fence replacement project on Labor Day, starting at the north end of the street (Argos side) and working to the south.
On Labor Day, crews will remove sections of the fence to pour concrete footings for the pillars, approximately every three houses. The pillars will then go up. Crews will then remove the fence between one set of pillars and replace it with the new boards. It’s estimated they will be able to do one set of pillars (about 3 houses) per day, with the goal of minimizing the amount of time the back of a home will be exposed to Vicksburg. Temporary fencing will be put up as necessary.
Homeowners are reminded to not leave their pets in the backyard while workers are in the area or while temporary fencing is in place.
The contractor will be applying a semi-transparent stain to the Vicksburg side of the fence. Homeowners can purchase their own stain to treat their side of the fence. Information on what stain the contractor is using will be provided.
